AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Long story, here goes. Called Robert 2-3 weeks ago to see if he could make some PEX connections for me so I can get a spigot installed at my garden. I have already dug in the lines, just needed a few connections made. We had an appointment set up for Friday the 5th at 8 am. No show, no call from Robert. I got busy and called him back Monday the 8th, he told me his kids mother had just passed away and he was sorry he never got back to me. Being sympathetic, I said no problem and we set up another appointment for the following Monday at 8 am. Mind you, I work a very demanding job and am taking time out of my schedule to meet with him. Monday at 8 rolls by with no call and no Robert. I call him at 830 and ask if he is getting close, he gives me another sad story about buying a house and having to find social security cards for his kids, etc. Wont be able to make it. I'm a little pissed at this point, but being the sympathetic person I am, we agree that he will come by the following day at 8 am. I again miss work in the morning, he again doesn't show up. I call and ask if he's getting close, he said he was getting material and "should be there by noon". I decided to head to work and let my girlfriend who was off work handle things. Here's where it gets interesting. Noon came and went and she isn't quite as patient as I am, so she started calling other plumbers for estimates. Robert shows up AFTER another plumber comes out to give us a quote. Seeing another plumber at our house sent him into a rage, and he jumps out of the truck yelling and screaming at her. She calmly explained that he hasn't been very professional and that we were entertaining other options. She asked what his hourly rate is and how long he thought the job would take. $85/hr, and he said it was an 8 hour job. (All the dirt work is done, I cant see it taking even a slow plumber more than 2 hours.) The other guys charge $60/hr. She thanked him for his time and told him we decided to go with someone else. At this point he got very obscene with her, yelling and calling her some very nasty names. She remained calm and asked him to please leave our property. He jumps in and tears out of our driveway slinging gravel, then overshoots the road and flys across the street into the neighbors brand new landscaping! He crashes into some large boulders, crunching his bumper, then proceeds to peel out and dig some nice ruts in their new lawn screaming obscenities out the window the whole time. Like I said before, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Expensive, extremely unprofessional and dangerous when you call him out on his BS. The only thing I'm really upset at was that I didn't get to see him destroy his own truck!
