Mr Rooter Plumbing Along the Lakeshore

I’m only giving it two stars because they were able to come out same day & had it been a different plumber we probably would have just bit the bullet with the price. The plumber was pretty rude, used our supplies, made us buy a ladder for the job & constantly had my boyfriend do things for him (which is fine btw, we’re always more than happy to help when someone is doing us a favor or a job. but we were told it was so expensive because of labor and if that’s the case we should not have to lift a finger; or buy our own ladder). after he left we noticed there were scratches on our brand new tile we had finished THE DAY BEFORE even though we had put a towel under the tub when we moved it in and out. He proceeded to drop very heavy tools on the tile and he had taken the towel out form the edges of the tub to wipe things and was pushing and pulling the tub SCRATCHING THE FLOOR. Honestly, super unhappy which is a bummer $1308 later. Oh, and the shower head sprayed all over the bathroom when we showered later. The shower head that looked exactly like the one we had just bought that he made us buy again.

He quoted me a job for $675. In the person that I actually had do the job charged me $145. That was my experience. Happy to share

First, I was supposed to get a phone call 30 minutes before my rep arrived. I got a voicemail 4 minutes before he pulled in my driveway saying “if you don’t call back I’m going to go home.” Second, the prices are ridiculous. I called West Michigan Sewer and Septic and got a quote of $165 to run 100 foot of cable to unclog a drain and $70 to reset the toilet. That would have come to $235. Mr. Rooter charged me $575 for the same service. I can’t help but feel like they are screwing people with their prices. It was another $200 for another roll of cable. WM sweet said it would be $75 for more cable. Don’t use Mr. Rooter if you are on any sort of budget.

God awful customer service, ridiculous prices, $329.83 to unclog a drain in the basement!!! Never use this service, go to Douglas & Son! You'll get respect, great customer service, & you won't get taken advantage of!!! You will learn a hard lesson is you hire this company. STAY FAR AWAY FROM MR ROOTER!!!! I HAVE TRIED TO WARN YOU, I PROMISE IF YOU DONT LISTEN LIKE MY HARD HEADED SELF YOU WILL TOO BE DOING THE SAME THING IM DOING RIGHT NOW!!!!

Came same day, fixed broken outside faucet. I would use them again.
