I have used Cheslea plumbing on multiple jobs. They have provided fast, reliable, and professional service. They have always been fair and honest. Their plumbers have always cleaned up after themselves, which makes it easier for me as a contractor. Appreciate the help guys. 10/10
I called for a estimate cause we are buying a house and I wanted to use them for my plumber and they refused to do a estimate because they say they never get work out of it Well this one time you lost the wrong customer cause I’m very loyal to who I work with and also spread the word around to get you more work Worthless company don’t go through them if you want them to be serious about the work you need done
Nick was fantastic. Quality service.
I needed to have my ugly 45-year old utility tubs in the basement completely replaced along with all the associated stopped-up and corroded plumbing and piping. They did a beautiful job and now I have fully functioning new tubs with free-flowing water and clean drains. I couldn’t be more satisfied. They were recommended by my general contractor, who was doing a basement renovation project for me in the spring of 2018.
I called Chelsea plumbing for a problem with one of my outdoor faucets. The first 2 or 3 times that I used it this season it made a loud knocking noise, the pressure was very low and the water sputtered out of the hose. Clearly there was air somehow getting into the line. But my basement was dry. I had not left a hose attached to the outlet over the winter and I could not detect a leak anywhere in or around the basement. I had to wait a week before someone could come out. The guy ran the water and placed his thumb into the hose, shot a jet of air about 5 feet and told me that that range of water shoot was perfectly normal. The knocking noise however had stopped but the sputtering was still there. Their plumber went into my basement, looked at the well tank and the connection to the faucet and said that everything was OK. In spite of having been told in advance that the pressure was low and that the stream of water was not steady he did not bring an instrument to measure the pressure. His only way of measuring was to place his thumb into the hose and did not do a control with the other outdoor faucet that was running normally. He told me that there was no problem and suggested that maybe mud dabbers had gotten into the line from the faucet over the winter. He insisted that the pressure was within normal range. But after he left it was clear to me that the pressure was not normal, nor was it the same as my other outdoor faucet. So I attached a fan sprayer to the hose and shot water (from the good outdoor faucet) over the concrete walkway and measured a water shoot to 7 to 8 feet. When I tilted the nozzle upward the range increased to 10 to 11 feet. I then took the same hose, and nozzle and attached it to the problem faucet and the range of shoot was only 5 feet. When I tilted the nozzle upward it DECREASED to 3 feet. I then called Chelsea plumbing to tell them that the plumber they sent seemed more intent on convincing me that there was no problem, when there was. I was then told that the problem may be in the faucet itself and that they needed to use an instrument to measure the pressure. But why was that not considered before the plumber came out. When I asked if I would have to pay them to return for their failure to fully evaluate the problem I was told "Yes," because it was not their fault that the problem was "not there when their plumber came out." They wanted me to wait another week for the guy to return. I then called another plumber who came out, and agreed that the pressure was low. He changed the faucet and the pressure was greatly improved but there was still sputtering. He checked the well WHILE LEAVING THE WATER RUNNING (which Chelsea did not do) and pointed out that air was leaking into the system through the well. It was audible and palpable in the well tank pipes. The problem was not intermittent. It was simply not diagnosed by Chelsea plumbing and they are not willing to even partially return some of the money that I paid them for a plumber to look at the pipes and tell me that a 3 to 5 foot range of water shoot was normal when I knew that it was not and had never been that way in the past. I don't think that this company is interested in residential problems. ADDENDUM OF 10/24/18 A few days ago I received a reimbursement check for $66.00 from Nick and an apology for the plumber described above. I have subsequently revised my original review to 5 stars.
