They came over and fix one toilet. The other toilet they could fix it but would be cheaper to put a new toilet. To fix the toilet, would be $175. To put a toilet, would be $450. I ask Todd how’s that cheaper? He avoid answering the question by repeating the breakdown of the quote and said I had a Koehler. Then he hung up and never called me again.
Great service and very friendly!
I called and Todd returned my call with in 15 min I scheduled a estimate with them and again they were on time because of that I booked the job with them he was on time and finished the same day just like he said he would Great Job
If I could leave less than a star I would. This company is the most unprofessional and incompetent company I have ever had the experience of dealing with. They installed a tankless hot water heater/furnace for my father in law and he has had nothing but problems with it for the last 3 years and they have done nothing to fix it. They sent out people to look at the system and in reality they were just sending out newbies with no training or experience and essentially charged my father in law to train them and still nothing was accomplished. They even had the nerve to continue invoicing him for sending out the technicians as they tried to troubleshoot the problem. They also installed a redundant pump in the system, which was verified by the manufacturer, because either they didn't know what they were doing or just wanted to charge him more money. In the winter the furnace shuts down almost weekly and after countless technicians and representatives from A&B and the manufacturer, it still doesn't work properly. My father in law has no way out of this situation now as A&B has completely washed their hands of the problem. I would stay away from this company if you are ever looking for contractors for this type of work.
Got a verbal quote of $XXX for relocating a water meter with copper. The meter wasn't able go in the in the original location we discussed, although only had to be moved a matter of feet. A & B acknowledged this change but communicated no change in cost. I did not receive a change order in writing nor verbal. PEX was installed, not the copper I had quoted. When the bill arrived I found an additional $XXX surprise charge we never agreed upon. I paid the $XXX by the due date and later sent A & B Plumbing a letter stating I wouldn't be able to pay the additional $XXX because it was never agreed upon. 6 weeks later I received call from them asking why they hadn't received my payment. At this point it is 4 months after the work was completed. I would think a properly functioning company would attempt to make their outstand collections prior to 3 months after the due date. They claim to never have received my letter. I proceeded to spend 20 minutes on the phone with them as they stated they gave me a "more than fair price" and know that because "they had a good guy on the job, he knows what the job costs to do". I simply stated a phone call takes less than a minute to make, were you not able to take 1 minute to communicate the additional costs to me before proceeding with the work?. I was further accused of "accusing them of being criminals" because I wouldn't pay the $XXX charge, when really I only asked that they operate as a competent contractor. They have since sent me to collections. We'll see where this goes. I'm not sure if my age was a factor as I am probably younger than their typical customer, but will challenge their credibility if an attempt to be taken advantage of is made. I would consider this company only as a last resort unless this is how you, as a customer would like being treated. Right or wrong or indifferent on either parties behalf, this is experience I received when working with this company.
