5-Star is truly a FIVE Star company. We have called them on weekends, after hours, and on the VERY COLDEST day of the year. They have always been able to get us appointment to keep our family WARM. They go above and beyond there normal duties. They helped us when one of our parts to our furnace was under warranty, but not normally a part from a company they work with, and were able to get it covered for us. The technicians and owner of the company are truly exceptional in professionalism and knowledge. With two young children keeping them warm in the cold months of Michigan is a MAIN priority. If you are in need or maintenance or emergency heating and cooling needs 5-Star is the company you NEED to call!!

Used to be Porter & Heckman. See their reviews! Charged $466 to fix this crack & solder a couple of joints together (using some of my parts), and winterize the system last 8/29/18. Darrin who did the work just threw solder in the crack & told me it would be stronger than the pipe. I'm gullible obviously. I just went out behind my shed today See pics (and the well has never been opened). When i called to see if someone would come out & look at it & fix it, they wanted to charge me just to look at it. If they think it is their fault (yeah right) for not fixing it right in the 1st place then they won't charge me. Oh, and wanted to send Darrin again. Not going to fall for that twice!
They really don’t deserve even one star. Junior came out last Thursday and I asked him to quote a new furnace and AC. Talked a good story and said he’d have a quote to me that evening.......or the next morning at the latest as he was always in early.....before anyone else. Fast forward to one week later.....no quote.....no call....NOTHING and I have a new furnace and AC all installed....up and running. Super job by a company that actually wanted my business. I do not recommend Michigan Heating and Cooling Lapeer
Michigan heating and cooling were very professional and did an awesome job a and the Amana products are one of the best warranty wise I would recommend them highly J Wright Montrose , MI
