I had an exceptional experience with this company. The oil delivery itself was nothing unusual, they showed up, filled the tank, and I paid. Their service technician however was another story. The man's name was Scott and he was incredibly skilled, professional, and friendly. I asked him if he minded if I watched him work, because obviously furnaces break from time to time and there might be an emergency at some point where I needed to work on it. He invited me over to pull up a stool and explained what he was doing and why every single step of the way. He was absolutely fantastic, explaining everything and doing so didn't slow him down a bit. You can tell the measure of a tradesman by their efficiency, economy of motion, organization, etc. He didn't grab the wrong socket a single time on the entire furnace. He knew what every size was, he could grab the correct tool out of his box without even looking. He also laid down oil pads to prevent drips on the floor, cleaned everything up, and just did a fantastic job all around. I'm definitely going to request him specifically next time I need my furnace serviced. Great guy. You just don't see tradesmen like him very often anymore.
I hired Atlantic to replace an exhaust pipe on my furnace, along with some other work. They did an excellent job. I had a small concern with the pipe months later so I called them. They arrived, checked the work, made a small modification, and didn't charge me a dime. A company that stands behind their work like that is a company I will use over and over.
Called this morning for an emergency service. I was able to reach their call center who took my information and said someone would give me a call back. I missed the call back, and listened to the voicemail they left. Bill left a rather unfriendly message informing me that we had written them bad checks so we would have to settle those in order to receive service. We have never used this company before, we have only owned our home for a month and a half. I called him back, confused. Bill told me my name wasn’t in their system, but our address had bad checks on file. I replied that we have only owned this home for a month and a half. Bill then rudely told me he couldn’t help us, because we weren’t regular customers and hung up. While I understand it is Thanksgiving and I’m sure no one is happy to be working, my husband and I are also very distressed about the fact that it is 15 degrees out and our heat isn’t working. I can also understand if they have a policy of only making emergency visits for existing customers, but there was no reason for this company to treat us the way they did. We will certainly never pursue being regular customers for such a company.
I have been with Atlantic heating for over 25 years!!! They are the best. I trust them that they are not going to tell me I need a part on my furnace and when I don't.......
I recently had my 14 year old AC replaced by Atlantic. The entire experience from sales, estimation, and install couldn't have been better. Jamie during the consultation process was really helpful on the pros/cons of AC combinations and Kyle and his crew was on-time, knowledgeable, and courteous. I'd highly recommend Atlantic!
