I was overcharged for work at my rental property. I had a leak below a half bath, and JJ Plumbing recommended changing the flapper for $55, the wax ring for $150, and replacing a sink drain for ~$180. I authorized the sink drain because I can do the flapper and wax ring for $30, which I did before they returned. The tenant was there when they did the work, and told me the plumber couldn’t find he leak. However, JJ Plumbing charged me for replacing he wax ring and said, “I know you didn’t want the wax ring replaced. But we had to do it. It was leaking bad, and we had no other choice.” They didn’t even try to call me for authorization, and they didn’t provide pictures.
I've been a customer of JJ's for several years now. I will continue to use them when the need arises. Thanks!
