Home Services at The Home Depot

well a day wasted trying to get their "rapid install" carpet. Appears that the "guaranteed" 7 days is only if they are not backed up. Wanted us to sign a contract dated today 12/26 with an install date thru the end of January. Hmmm, not quite seven days. Calling customer service to see if they have better information. Just wasted a whole day of vacation.

On April 17th of this year I tried to order a fancy new security door for the front of the house. Visions of cool summer breezes and dreams of lower utility costs blissfully went through my head. I paid $50.00 to The Home Depot to come measure as I figured they knew what they were doing? It appears I was wrong. On 5/14/15 I paid the full pop of $1,645.13 for door and install. Labor day weekend is here and the summer is gone. Still don’t have the door. No idea when that will occur as nobody has told me of the plan. Home Depot has tried to deliver / install two doors. Both the wrong size. Honestly I could have screwed it up this bad without their help. I am beginning to think that Home Depot is some government agency given their level of ineptitude. Thanks Homer for blowing up my modest dreams of cool summer breezes. Maybe by Christmas?

I got help from Leela in the design department .she help give me quarts and advice about a replacement bathroom cabinet in an odd shaped room.
