Basnett Plumbing, Heating & AC

Leo and Nick were friendly, thorough and knowledgeable about all the technology and plumbing in our house. It seemed like in a blink of an eye, they were able to do the maintenance on three AC/Heat splits. They took the time to explain to us how to properly care for them moving forward. We are not new homeowners, but never had this sort of AC equipment in any previous house; so the education was definitely appreciated. Thank you guys! We will definitely be calling on Basnett in the future.

We had a major failure of our central AC system and with summer approaching we needed fast action. Within one week of calling Basnett we got an evaluation, a quotation with three options and new equipment installed. We have found that everyone at Basnett is very professional and reliable. We highly recommend Basnett. Since then we have had 2 more service calls. Both were more than satisfactory. Barnett is definitely our go to place for plumbing and HVAC.

Wanting to replace an ancient oil heating in a 1950s house with something a bit more contemporary we requested quotes from a couple of plumbing companies. Most showed up, took a look, and ran away screaming. Basnett's team accepted the challenge, and took time and pride in designing a solution that would work within the confines of the location (heat pump + gas combo, installed in the same furnace room, re-using the existing ducts). Once contracted, the Basnett team showed up in full force (I counted six people at times) to finish this complex conversion. All plumbing (including routing various lines and pipes) to the basement and the attic was finished within a week. When their subcontracted electrician refused to connect the setup to the (admittedly inadequate) main panel Basnett kept their cool and suggested solutions to make the panel code compliant. I used my local electrician to do that, and Basnett adjusted the price accordingly without any problem. Main takeaway for me is that Basnett take pride in finding solutions, and delivering quality work in difficult circumstances. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

I had Basnett Plumbing remove a fiberglass tub/shower unit and replace it with just a tub. They did a fine job with that and quickly left. I felt like they were in a real hurry to leave, they didn’t even accompany me to inspect their work. Upon first inspection, everything looked fine. I had my tile guy scheduled for the following day. He came in and started to tile the walls. Halfway through he called me in to point out that the shower head, spout, and overflow were not centered on the tub but were off by about 4 inches. Of course, I understand that the old fiberglass unit was thicker which caused the issue. However, if the Basnett guys had taken the time to explain the situation to me instead of just running off, I could have made an informed decision to have them fix it or just leave it. Now, my walls are tiled and to fix the problem will be a major expense. I’m really disappointed with their customer service. I have to say that I stand corrected. I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service that I have received from Basnett. Upon reading my initial 1-star review, they immediately sent someone to my house to inspect the work. We agreed that I would pay what I would have if the work was done at the time of install and they would pay to have the tile work repaired. I thought this was a reasonable solution. They sent someone out the following day (which happened to be a Saturday) and the work was completed within hours. My tile guy come out the next week to repair the tile. The tile work ended up costing more than the work that Basnett did. I paid the tile guy directly and worried that I might never be reimbursed for his work. However, once again the people at Basnett shocked me. I emailed over a copy of my check and the invoice from the tile guy and within days I received a check for the difference from Basnett. Once again, I stand corrected...Basnett Plumbing could give lessons on customer service!!!

They are excellent and efficient in providing us with the proposal. We hoped that by the end of the work, everything should work as intended and no other issue raised for the installation that followed the actual work. So far, we had a moderate to a good but not excellent experience, and we would still use the offered service going forward since Basnett is the best in town. I'll stick with Basnett, and I hope you do too. Update: we had an electric overload-couple of appliances in addition to the electric water heater installed-, probably with the added electric water heater installed, instead of turning off the switch during the power overload designed or programmed in the panel, it burns the bathroom and the hallway switch. We have not received a quick response in terms of when to come or when it will be repaired. As I am writing, we still have no power in both areas: the hallway and the bathroom. We are using candles as I write to light the bathroom- we left the hallway dark. The electrical completed during the water heater installation caused this issue. Maybe we should have sub panel or upgrade in the switch, but we have never had a problem like this before the water heater installation. We are looking forward to a quick and permanent solution.
