San Pedro Plumbing

Time after time San Pedro plumbing has done a great job for us here at the house. They dug through the concrete floor to fix a hot water leak in the laundry room, hooked us up to our new AZ Water Co meter, installed two toilets and moved a third, and today, replaced or serviced leaky faucets outside and inside this 45yr old house. San Pedro Plumbing is an honest plumbing company. They quoted us a price and when the work was done and the bill was given, it was exactly what they quoted. There installer arrived early introduced himself and proceeded to change out our water heater. In about one and a half hour he was done and all cleaned up and gone, a short while later the city inspector arrived and passed the job and statement that they never had a problem with San Pedro Plumbing work. Workmanship was fine and the worker was friendly enough. They completed a repair on a leaking drain pipe. It took less than an hour and they used maybe a couple of feet of PVC pipe, 2 couplings, sanitary tee, and glue. I got the bill and it simply gave a summary of the repair and the total bill was $175. I thought it was a bit high for the work that was done so I called and asked for an itemized bill. She said "we don't normally do that" but that she would get with the worker and send one out. I received the "itemized" bill and it listed the parts used and then simply said parts ($50) and labor ($125). The labor charge seemed high because of the length of time it took and the fact that it was completed during a work day and not after hours but it's not entirely out of reason (they explained that it was higher because for some reason they needed a second person to come out and help but she didn't know why). What really upsets me is the outrageous markup on the materials used. There was no more than $10-$15 worth of parts used and I expect a little bit of mark up but that much?! They don't itemize their bills unless asked, they forgot to bill me until I called and inquired about it, they don't accept credit cards, and I really feel like they pulled the charges out of thin air not expecting me to question it. The only reason I'm giving them a second star is the fact that the work was done and the workmanship was satisfactory. I went with them because they were recommended to my by a local construction company that is doing repairs to the water damage because they are supposedly more reasonably priced than others in the area.

Had a water softener installed about three months ago. Outstanding customer service and instillation. I compared prices to several plumbers in the area, San Pedro beat everybody else estimate by far!! I would recommend San Pedro plumbing to everyone.

Gentleman came out on a Thursday for an estimate to move a gas line. We could not get the propane until it is moved--so no hot water. We got the estimate, and the guy said his wife would call with a timeline to do the work. On Monday I called their office and she apologized about not getting back to me and said she was waiting for the information from her husband. She said she would ask him and get back to me. She called back a few minutes later and said she really didn't know when they could come out, so maybe we should call someone else!
