Contacted Roto-Rooter after the freeze because water wouldn’t come from my bathroom sinks after my pipes thawed. When I contacted them to schedule the appointment I asked how much would it be just for a service call to tell me what the problem may be and I was told the service call was FREE and I would be given an estimate of what needs to be done once the tech find out the problem. The tech called on his way to my house and I explained to him over the phone what the problem was, once he got here he went straight to my sinks removed the aerators and rinsed them out at the sink. Well I was charged $135 to do something I could have done on my own had he told me given me the opportunity to make a decision on if I want him to do it or not. I feel like I was ripped off because I wasn’t given the choice as to whether or not I wanted them to fix the problem or go with someone that could have done it much cheaper. He literally took off the faucet caps rinsed them and replaced them back on 2 bathroom sinks. No labor, no hard work, nothing! Then he told me he already knew what the problem was when I explained it to him on the phone. Yet he never mentioned it he just came here and went straight to it. It’s sad because it was only for the money. Then when I called and asked why I was charged by the tech before even being given an estimate or being told what the problem was beforhand I was told “he did work, it’s free to come out but to actually do something you get charged.” I was never given the chance to make that decision on my own because the tech just came in and went straight to the problem. I paid because I’m the type of person to do the right thing but I would not recommend calling rotor rooter for anything! It’s all about money.

its a shame you can't give less than one star cause this place sucks. During regular working hours they came and charged me 240.00 for the first hour and over 100.00 an hour after that. My toilet needed a flapper... thats it... a flapper. As a widow, I thought I could depend on a national company for small repairs like this. I have used Roto Rooter in Baton Rouge and was completely stratified with the work and the charges. I really thought the prices would be comparable... shame on you Roto Rooter Slidell for taking advantage and over charging. ( this was posted for my mother)

Had them come out and use camera for inspection as part of a quote needed for insurance. I paid for inspection plus a few wasted hours pumping out a hole, that he decided he didn't need to inspect, so didn't even enter the pumped out area. The quote was written in a way insurance needed a correction. I've called 4 times, and they keep saying they will give the message to that plumber. It's been 5 days and he refuses to call me back. It's a very simple correction. Wasted $500 and time. Can't use estimate, which was way too high to begin with... very unprofessional. Never again!!!!!!
