The shop has beautiful examples of stone and brick work and samples. The staff is friendly, professional and highly knowledgeable. I strongly recommend this business for any masonry design or projects

I requested a service call for our existing gas fireplace. They did show up on time as promised but quickly diagnosed the problem as the gas log set and sent us an email quote for new ones. They then charged us $175 for the service call. About a week later I had a HVAC tech over to look at a heating unit unrelated to the fire place. I then asked him to check the same gas logs. He found the gas was turned off in the basement, turned it on, did a leak check, then fired up the logs. He did state one of the small metal tubes connected to the gas log set should be changed but he was not a fireplace guy and to contact a fireplace shop. I called three times and spoke to the office manager at HillSide Hearth Shop and was given the run around. She had no explanation and promised to talk with the GM and owner. Still no response to this date after three messages and 31 days since the service call. Very disappointed with the way I was treated and charged by this company. Can you imagine a refrigerator appliance person coming in to look at your fridge and not plugging it into the wall???? Makes no sense at all.

So far so great. We received a fast quote on the spot and he even followed up by calling us back. Just dropped off a check to their office for installation.
