Ladd Service Company

They do a great job of servicing our HVAC a couple times a year and now I can say installing a new system was a piece of cake. Very polite and professional. Definitely recommend!

Short story: Call another company!! Do not waste your time or your money. Long story: I hired them to fix leaking sump pump pvc pipes. This guy diagnoses the problem, does a maybe 20 minute repair, I pay, and he leaves. Its springtime. 20 minutes later when the sump pump goes off, I realize it is still leaking. Immediately, I call him and while he is driving home - he tells me that it will cost me another 40 dollars to fix the leak because he has to buy more parts, but that he wont charge me for another service fee. Like he is doing me a favor! Ridiculous! He diagnoses over the phone that when he fixed the bottom part, that the bend at the top may have come loose. Yet I have to pay additional. Again, ridiculous. I hired them to fix the leaking pipes and all he did was fix part of it. They are a cons. Don't use them. Call a reputable company from Lawrence or the metro.

I rent apartments. After waiting days for an appointment to recharge my tenant's AC, Ladd arrived and found she'd left it running and it was iced up. Ladd walked away. Said it would take hours to thaw. Fine, I get that, but they wouldn't come back later that day to charge the system after it had thawed. They really didn't seem to care about their customers level of discomfort. The Ladd office personnel also displayed a complete disregard for my business even though I'd used them for years. They have worst customer service. Very disappointed and irritated.

Could not be happier with the recent repair to my heating system and I will use Ladd the next time I need service. The company has a real asset in Austin. He's friendly, thorough, and explains everything.

We started working with Ladd when we moved to Kansas City 17 years ago, and they have never disappointed! We've bought 2 furnaces from them, and have them tune up our system twice a year. Their courtesy and professionalism have been outstanding, and the work they have done has been excellent. With an old house with failing pipes, we've always felt confident that we had Ladd to call if we needed them. I would recommend them - and have several times - to anyone that is looking for great service and really nice folks!
