American Plumbing and Rooter

Rich from American Plumbing and Rooter responded very quickly to a call for an issue I was having with my outside hose bib. He told me when they would be out (which was very quick given it was a holiday weekend!) and communicated regularly prior to the job. I had a fair priced estimate and no surprises in cost. He was on time and very professional and I was happy with the work. Will definitely use American Plumbing and Rooter again for all of my plumbing needs!

As honest as they come. Our sewer has backed up twice in a month. So gross!!! Now, it's July 3rd and almost everyone is on a 4 day weekend in a matter of hours. Rich and Jake were out immediately and gave us the bad news...roots in our sewer line. A LOT of roots which will cost A LOT to repair. After he saw the look on my face, Rich gave me a suggestion. They would grind out what roots they could so we could go about our daily routines BUT considering where the problem was, I should contact the City. As I dealt with the City, Rich contacted a locating service for me. They were on my property in an hour to locate the problem and record a video of the damaged pipe. Long story short, the city picked up the tab of $15,000! Rich and Jake could have cleared the pipe (or worse, replaced it!), charged us a ton of money and been on their way. Instead, they did what was best for US. We cannot thank Rich and his team enough for their honesty and we will recommend American Plumbing & Rooter to anyone that will listen!

My water heater had signs of corrosion and stopped supplying hot water. My first call was greeted by Rich and he was very helpful with answering my questions. He walked me through the process of inspection for a quote and replacement. He was able to get someone out on Sunday. Rich and the plumber Nick called ahead prior to arriving for the inspection. The quote was reasonable and beat the price of the company's you see on TV. The replacement plumber Jake came out to replace the water heater, copper piping, flex pipe for the hot/cold supply and replace the gate valve with a ball valve for the shut off. Rich also followed up through text to make sure everything was ok. The old water heater could not drain because it was clogged, so Jake and Nick returned to remove it and properly drain it. The Rheem water heater is taller than the original but smaller in diameter. This allowed some extra space around the tank. The repair was done clean and the hot water was up and running better than before. I recommend American Plumbing and Rooter for all plumbing tasks. I will definitely call them again, because I would rather work on electrical projects.

Very pleased with the new hot water heater, water softener and R/O system that Jake and Rich installed here today. Rich was very responsive through Yelp messenging and gave me simple, straightforward info and quotes and followed through very quickly when I was ready to have everything installed. Jake was helpful in answering questions about maintaining each system and was very thorough in the initial visit when he diagnosed the water heater issue. Very grateful for this local business. I’ve been a loyal customer for over three years and they deserve all the great recognition they get. My favorite thing about American Plumbing and Rooter is the communication the owner Rich provides. Throughout the whole process you’ll feel at ease because he explains things very thoroughly and goes over the scenarios of what could happen depending on what he finds. Definitely one of the top plumbers in the Phoenix area and I highly recommend them!
