Abrao Plumbing

The technician Mike did a horrible job inspecting my water heating unit. He came out to my house for about 10 mins. Checked to see if there was water on the floor. Which I had already informed my home warranty and the technician that my water heater was leaking. He confirmed it was leaking charged me $60 and left. To find out from my home warranty he did not check to see if the water heater was actually working. Which it is not, it goes hot and cold. At no point did he even turn on a sink to try it. Because he didn’t bother checking to see if the heating elements were bad they won’t replace my heating unit. I am certain this wouldn’t have happened if my husband was home, I get the feeling he was taking advantage of my kindness and my lack of knowledge with plumbing. :(

I worked for Mike about 10 years ago right out of high school. I still recommend people to him and his business. Tons of integrity and a very hard worker.

Mike (The Owner) is fantastic! I HIGHLY recommend you use him. I wouldn't use another plumber, ever. He is a seasoned plumber with 26 years of experience. He is very knowledgeable, kind, honest, does excellent quality work and cleans up after himself. He responds quickly and is thorough. He is a great fit for older people, disabled people, women, anyone who feels vulnerable and doesn't want to be taken advantage of. I have used Abrao Plumbing three separate times and I've never been disappointed.

Had a minor flood in closet in bedroom in basement from sump pump. I was in a panic and thought it was going to be an expensive problem. Knights showed up about 30 min after I reported the problem which was wonderful and the technician looked at it and didnt really do anything to inspect it. He said he had no idea whats wrong with it and they would need to remove it and disassemble to find the problem and then reinstall, but it would be cheaper just to remove and have a new one installed. He went outside and spoke to manager and came back in and quoted me $1,900 to do the job that night. I thought that sounded crazy and called a friend who reminded me about a secondary insurance program I have called American Home Shield, I called them and they said it should be covered and got me in touch with Abrao Plumbing. Mike came the following Monday and actually touched the pump to inspect it, a simple unplugging of the second cord and directly plugging it into the wall made the water cycle. He then pulled the small plug off the top of the pump and saw a valve was caught against the wall and jingled it free and next thing you know it was back to normal working order. A small home service fee was all that was charged by an honest, ethical company. I will always use Abrao after having this experience and would caution anyone thinking about using Knights plumbing based on this experience. They were basically going to rob me for $1,900 to fix a pump that wasn't broken....shame on you Knights plumbing and thank God for Abrao and Mike's honesty and integrity!
