I was very satisfied with Wickstrom Plumbing. Appointment scheduled for Wednesday, phone call from Helen to reschedule due to the person assigned the job was stuck at another site. Chris came the next day at the appointment time and got right to work. Fast, efficient, courteous, professional. He kept me informed of what was happening and how he was progressing with the fix. I will hopefully be using them for a couple of future projects. Well done Wickstrom!

Wow over priced for service. I was charged $79 call out fee $77 inspection fee. Then they replaced a toilet line from the tank to the floor and charges $151. The part is $15 at Lowe’s and Home Depot. Very disappointed and would not recommend service work from them. Check out other plumbers before using them. They took off a small section of dry wall and did not repair. This is not included in the price. I was also quoted $350 to change a $50 thermostat for the heater. The technician was good and professional but I would not recommend unless you like throwing your money away.

We had them come out due to a leak into our basement. We were fine with the trip fee of $80, and my husband had already isolated where the leak was, so the diagnosis part only took a few minutes. The guy that came out said the leak was in a place where some of the duct work would need to be moved, and he was not qualified to do it. He quoted us around $1450, and I agreed to it because I thought it must be a huge job. The guy who did show up to do it, fixed it in three hours with about $50 worth of pipe. No duct work done. My husband is also a tradesman and instructor in a different field. He is quite good at even complicated home repairs, and was quite certain he could have fixed it. He said it would have likely have taken him two days, not the three hours the technician took, but he could have done it. However, my husband does not make $700 per day, so it would have been a win for us. We tried to contact the owner but could not get past the office manager. We explained to her that we were not demanding a refund but, instead, wanted to let him know our dissatisfaction with their billing model. We requested a call back from the owner, and she said she would pass it along. We never heard back. We own a 70 year old home. Without a doubt, it will not be the last plumbing issue we have. We will not use Wickstrom again. In this economy, it probably doesn't matter to them. There will be downturns in the future and they lost a customer who can weather them. And all our friends. ETA: The day after this review, we did speak to the owner, and they did seem genuinely concerned over the issue. He offered several times to refund part of the bill as he said he felt we were overcharged. Ultimately, we did accept his offer, with thanks. He also stated that would do some retraining with his staff so that this sort of mix up did not happen again. My husband and I are pleased with the outcome.
