Major issues at my company break room. Delt with another company that dragged their feet for over 10 days. Contacted these guys for a 2nd option - Corey and Jaren were on scene and fully fixed in under 1 hour!! They did the job right and we were back in business before we knew it. Mahalo Nui Loa!! The competition must be shaking in their boots or don't know what's coming for them yet, either way we appreciate your professional service.

Ok so I'm giving Roto-Rooter two stars because we have used them for a clogged drain before and they did fine and they have a great drain clog warranty, also the guy they sent out was honest and I really appreciate that. Let me explain. I needed some plumbing work done, specifically a shower valve assembly installed and a new water shutoff. I called the Roto-Rooter in Kihei and asked them if they do all plumbing work or just drains. They said they do all plumbing work and with further discussion I learned their rate was $185 per hour and if I had all the parts I would just pay for the time. I made an appointment with them for the following week and arranged the water shut off with the condo association. The day of the appointment, the Roto-Rooter guy showed up ( he was even early ). He was a younger guy but that doesn't matter, age doesn't really determine qualifications. I explained the job and the plumber mentioned he would like to use pro-press. This apparently is a way of connecting copper pipes without solder using special fittings and a special tool. The only problem is i don't know anything about pro-press reliability is it code, and I already had all the parts and didn't want to pay plumber markup for stuff I already bought and then also have to return. I explained myself and the plumber said ok and indicated he would go get his tools and be right back. A few moments later I saw the Roto-Rooter van drive out of our complex and pull across the street. At first I thought wow, how courteous he's parking across the street so he doesn't jam up our small parking lot. Nope, moments later my cell phone rings, it's the plumber. Here's where I really appreciate his honesty. He tells me he is not confident in his pipe soldering skills. My first thought was you're kidding me, a professional plumber who can't solder pipes! But he was being truthful and I would rather that than if he did the job and it leaked. So he left, water is already shut off so I call Roto-Rooter to see if they are sending someone else. The guy that talks to me starts making excuses saying they don't solder pipes in walls because of the fire danger. My job however was a completely open steel stud wall and concrete floor! After a short phone spar about the plumber who left saying he wasn't qualified to solder not because of a fire hazard, I hung up and started looking for a real plumber. I ended up using Lyons plumbing who sent out a legitimate licensed journeyman plumber who made short work of my project and only charged $135 / Hr. I have since learned that the big box plumber type business usually have a bunch of unknown qualification techs who operate under the owners plumbing license!
