17 TERRIBLE experience with H&M Services H&M Services really let us down! We have had our house for about 20 yrs and of course, it's been long enough, the dryer vent has become clogged. Then we realized that it is the flimsy accordion style vent tube and decided to get the smooth hard vent installed. Called H&M either Thu or Fri, now 2 weeks ago. They said they would be out to give us a quote Tues. Then they called Tues to tell us they needed to reschedule for Thurs. My mother-in-law asked if they would be ready to do the job since we can't use our dryer until the job is done. The representative said they would be ready to the whole project on Thurs. So they came out LAST WEEK, gave us a QUOTE for $850 and told us they would be here TODAY at 9am to do the job. Thats a week later. They wrote on the quote that they would replace the vent with 4inch hard pipe, cut the dry wall, and that would not include fixing the drywall. Today they called to say they were running late. Would be here between 11am - 1pm. Showed up without calling at 1:20pm. Then DECIDED that they would need to run the vent on the outside of the wall, all along the laundry room and then out the ceiling, and to the side of the house. It's now been 2 weeks waiting on H&M Services, without use of our dryer, and we are back to square one. Hopefully we'll be able to find a competent company this time. Working with them has been a total waste of time.
