Contracted to have a bathroom remodel done for my 90 year old father. Contract was signed in April, 2014. In June, the work still had not been done and after mass confusion on the part of Home Depot, and talking to three or four people "in charge", I asked for a refund. Please be aware that once you agree to have them do work for you, they want to be paid in full, up front. But when they don't perform as agreed, it takes up to 8 weeks to get a refund. I will never spend another nickel in a Home Depot store.

**Window Installation/Delivery* 9/23/2016 purchased new windows from Chris Rogers installation Manager. Still not completed as of today 2/11/2017. I ordered 10 new windows to be installed 2 of them to be for BATHROOMS and were to be obscure. A 2nd person came to my house to measure and check the order and i reminded him of the bathroom windows and yes that was on the order. The installers came and they were done and i look in the bathroom and the windows are CLEAR.. i show them the order and they say they have to reorder and the front slider window was broken and would not open and that needed reordered. Months go by and I call and ask where the windows are and i am told they ordered all obsure windows wrong and its back ordered and i will be contacted. Remind you i was told I HAD TO PAY IN FULL AS THIS IS JUST GENERAL WORK ITEMS.... AND I PAID CASH. Finally the windows (3, (2) bathroom and the front main slider) the man shows up to install and finish out the windows as that was never done, ONLY 1 bathroom window fits, the front slider still not correct and the other bathroom window does not fit and he leaves and does not finish out the other windows, tells me it will probably take months for the order. I chase them down again and find out that this installer came back and said the job was done and they closed out my project. Here we are Almost the middle of February and they send this installer back again with a window that dont fit and i still got a clear window in my bathroom.. I did get the front window fixed as they finally figured out they installed a broken window. But how long does it take to get this correct and why do i have to keep chasing these people. I have to take time off of work and interrupt my day and i am taking my free time and work time to do this just so i can get this project done. They should not have been allowed to collect the remaining balance until all these items were corrected. Did they think because i am a single women i would not get upset about this or just let it go. I paid a lot of money and i thought i could trust a reputable company but i guess i should have went with another so i could have had this done correctly and efficiently and i would not have lot time from work chasing people around to do what is correct and right.

Home Depot countertops department pulled a bait and switch (old switcheroo?) on my wife and I. We provided the specialist at Home Depot with very accurate measurements of our countertops, we rounded up so we wouldn't be under quoted. After getting a quote we applied for a Home Depot credit card and paid the balance. Home Depot sent out professionals to measure our countertops and we did not hear back from anyone for more than a week. When we called to inquire about the next step we were told we had to pay an addition $1,700 before anything else could be done. "Pay $1,700 or cancel your order". It took a while for us to figure out because they tried to hide the truth but we eventually discovered that the specialist had input our measurements incorrectly and had quoted us the wrong price. After contacting store management we were told it was just an estimate and that this sort of thing happens all the time. They refused to take responsibility for the negligence of their employee and didn't care about the effect their blunder would have on our project, wallets or credit scores. I would recommend to anyone thinking about using Home Depot for a job to get a second opinion before you buy because when all is said and done Home Depot will tell you to Pay up or Shut up.
