Strait Plumbing

We have had Strait Plumbing out a number of times in the six years we have lived here I have never found them to be anything but honest, straightforward and competent. They've always responded in a timely manner and completed the job quickly. I've never timed them to the minute but the charge has always been appropriate. (I don't know of any services where the hourly fee is prorated by minutes.) Frankly, I was surprised at the negative reviews because our experience has always been so positive.

I called their number listed on Google and was yelled at with profanities and racial slurs. I called to report one of their drivers and give a license plate number. The woman proceeded to mock me than yelled racist comments. So I decided to call the number listed on the van which is a local number. I was hesitant in calling that number to speak with someone of authority in that company because I didn't want to be verbal abused again. Unfortunately I got the same treatment from another woman who threatened to call the police. Absolutely terrible. All of that caused by road rage and a driver who is reckless. Shame on you.

Although very nice, worked over 2 hours on a clogged drain and never got it unclogged and charged me $238 and said I probably had a busted pipe. My husband worked on it and got it unclogged. We called Strait Plumbing and told them we got it unclogged, and they said they probably helped us loosen the clogged pipe and cashed my check.

These guys are a joke. I can't count the number of times I've had to go fix their work.

After having the worst experiences from any “licensed help” I have ever seen, I was handed a 2 hour bill for one hour and 13 mins worth of labor. I asked why my bill was $160 and he said the time started when he left his last stop@1145 (arrived at my house at 1228). He handed me this bill at 141. If you’re going to charge travel time you must inform people. As most companies charge the first hour at a higher rate to help accommodate the issue. Called the office, they checked GPS for me and they informed he left his last job at 12(not 1145).So they are trying to double Dip!!! This doesn’t even account for all the trouble we had with the plumbers service. I Could write a book on all the flaws of this service. He failed to follow the notes or listen to any input... which ended up being exactly as we thought a clogged filter in the septic tank.
