ICON Construction Plumbing and Restoration, LLC

Icon was to start the Job back in August 2019. We are now at the End of January basically February. 6 Months since a job should of been completed. They came to my home multiple times and in October they DAMAGED my home and i been sending text since and no reply. AVOID this company if you can. As you see someone else has the same problem. Plenty other companies you can use with better feedback and wont leave your home DAMAGED and no reply.

On December 23, 2019 I did receive a phone call on my cell phone from John Peters who stated he was the owner of Icon Construction, I told him I had anticipated a call from him ( all calls and e mails are documented ) in response to the review that I wrote. This was the first conversation I had with the owner of the company and explained to him what was going on which is pretty much the same information written above about not obtaining a permit for 2 months and the unprofessionalism of his employee. He stated he would speak with Mike Bakke and call me back on December 24, 2019 when he finds out what is going on. On December 24, 2019 I did contact the City of Boca Raton permitting department and was advised the permit was denied on November 6, 2019 initially because Mike Bakke an employee of Icon Construction did not supply the department with the proper paperwork. It was denied again on December 20, 2019 again for not providing proper paperwork to the permitting department so this permit sat there disapproved for weeks until he brought in paperwork which was once again not satisfactory to obtain the permit.I also accessed this information from their website On December 24, 2019 at 5:43 pm I did call John Peters and left him a voicemail on his phone because he did not call me back but made time to respond to my review somehow. At 5:57 pm (our call ended at 6:03 pm) John Peters did call me back and admit that Mike Bakke has made mistakes in my permit application which I already knew because I spoke with the City of Boca Raton permitting today. He became irate over the fact that in my initial review I stated Icon Construction was no longer approved on the home advisor website and I would ruin his business and that it was a false statement. I advised him I read it somewhere otherwise I would not know the proper terminology that was used. John Peters then called me back at 6:06 pm, 3 minutes after we hung up from our conversation and made me an offer. His offer was he would obtain the permit and for me to find another contractor to do the work because as he stated , this is not good for either of us. I told him that his company doing the work because we have a signed contract and he rattled off some Florida statute that he could wiggle his way out of this contract that we signed 2 months ago and it would take even longer now for me to find another contractor and delay this project even further. He and I have had no contact while all these problems were going on but once I posted my review I KNEW I would hear from him. I advised him if he is going to contact me again DO NOT THREATEN ME !!! It's really not good for business and I don't take threats lightly. Maybe there should be better supervision of your employees without threatening me to pull out of the contract. No where in our signed contract does it say he can break the contract because of his employee's incompetence or because I wrote a review about his company that he did not like. I know he is going to try some legal maneuver to get out of this contract which I do not believe is fair to me at all. All I want is the job done and done correctly. I could forget about it being done expeditiously and I do believe I deserve compensation for their employees incompetence and still not having a permit or a tentative start date. He has now breached our contract stating he will not commence a job with an antagonistic and unhappy person with his company. There is no legal grounds for him to break this contract but because he is a very influential business owner he feels he can do this to his clients whom have done nothing wrong. Notice how he pulls all the positive reviews from the Home advisor website and puts them on his companies website. I will be very surprised if this review is allowed on his company’s website but will document this also.

Icon converted our tub to a full stall shower. Very pleased with the finished product. Looks great and came out even better than we imagined. Thanks again. Will definitely recommend.

Great service, paid close attention to what my wife and I desired in our kitchen. Danny was very professional and made sure we were receiving the best treatment. Worked very fast and efficiently. DEFINITELY WOULD RECCOMEND!

ICON Construction did an absolutely fabulous job on my bathroom. The bathroom looks amazing now and I see no flaws. I appreciate ICON Construction personnel for being so nice, respectful and professional. You can truly count on ICON to get the job done!
