O Leary Construction - Builders in Swindon

If I could I would give zero really! After seeing lovely sponsored ad on Facebook my attention was drawn to them as it looked like they know what they are doing. Initially wanted to do loft conversion but since quotes from other builders were really high we decided to go with opening kitchen to the living room and all work associated with this. I called to schedule a quote and spoke with Liam who took my details and advised he will come out following week and he will be with me at 4.00 PM. At 4.20 PM I called to enquire where is the person to be advised that he is en route and will be with me shortly - he arrived at around 4.50 PM! I wanted to show him the door then and there as it is unacceptable for me to be that late and not call to advise - I had to chase him! But when he came he sounded actually quite knowledgeable and I thought I will give him a chance. He took some photos and measurements and advised he will be in touch. He was a week later to let know he will be putting me in touch with kitchen designer from Benchmarx, where they have a trade account, to have a new kitchen design done. After I had these done I called and spoke with Liam to let him know I am ready for a full quotation now and he asked me to email him the designs. I have done it on Thursday 18th April, before Good Friday bank holiday. I called on Tuesday 23rd April to check if he got my email - was advised he did and will email me quote either on 24th or 25th April. Well it is now 11th May and still no sign of quote and I have emailed him chasing gently once or twice- and in the meantime Benchmarx has called me to ask what I think about the design! They even did a bit of chasing for me and called him to ask what is going on and were told he is busy and will get back to me in the near future! So bottom line is - if you want something done don't use them. I have wasted so much time. Have now invited other builder to quote me and he got back to me when he said he would so now going with him. Fancy website, fancy facebook page and sadly can't deliver and customer service is really bad.

We had been badly let down by a builder and were left in quite dire straits with imminently collapsing retainer walls. Following excellent reviews on 'Checkatrade', we contacted Liam O'Leary of O'Leary Bros Carpentry Contractors Ltd. We could not have done better. Liam arrived promply and was polite, full of sympathy and good sound advice. A highly detailed (and reasonably priced) estimate followed shortly which we felt comfortable with. Work commenced exactly on time and was completed on time by very competent staff to our entire satisfaction. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Liam O'Leary and his Company.

Really good quality work, polite and friendly. Last bits took a while to iron out but overall really pleased.

Very quick and efficient, we needed our gate fixed as soon as possible for security reasons. They came out that day, out of hours and fixed it in a way that made it more secure than it was before! Also very reasonably priced for a job well done. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Builders! Did a great job on a garage conversion including installation of a bathroom and Utility room. Very professional and helpful throughout and finished to a high standard. Would definitely use again.
