McCarver Mechanical Heating & Cooling

Terrible customer service and knew nothing. Two guys came, told us our system was totally dead with no hope for repair and there was no power. Then he sat around for an hour or two and gave us a quote for $50,000. Charged us over $1,000 for doing absolutely nothing. We got 2 other opinions after this and the whole system is fixed for less than a fraction of the price. The other two people told us whoever told us the system was dead had no idea what they were talking about. This is sad because McCarver has great reviews, but i'm failing to see why.

I'm very happy with the equipment they installed, that is 5-stars all the way. It works very well, is ridiculously quiet, and the install is beautiful; a work of art, just check out the photo. Their service is good. We have had a couple of post install issues (these things happen in hugely complex systems, no knocking them there) and ultimately they have gotten them all squared away. The only downside is that they seem quite busy, so arranging timely service calls has been less than stellar. For the cost, I would expect a more responsive service department. In all, we're very happy with our new combi unit!

Air conditioner stopped working after only 3 years due to installation fault (as advised by their technician) and I was charged for the repair for their terrible workmanship!

Adam was awesome. He fixed my problem right away. He took the time to explain to me what the issue was and answered every question I had. Didn't feel rushed. No sales pitch. He had a younger apprentice with him. He was training her while she was finishing up College. I like that... giving College grads opportunities and investing the time to train and mold them. Also, they are the ONLY company I saw that actually promoted an environmentally friendly system. (it's a Fujitsu unit if you're interested).

I've been using McCarver Mechanical for my residential heating and cooling needs for a few years now and couldn't be happier with their professionalism, rates, and services. Yesterday, Erik and Nick replaced my 20-year-old hot water heater and installed a new vent kit to the furnace. They were done in 90 minutes and cleaned up everything. Also, I love how the McCarver crews always call ahead when they are 10-15 minutes away. They are routinely on time and usually early, which I love! I would recommend McCarver to anybody who wants top-notch technicians in their home and customer service that is off the charts!
