Geez. Read the negative comments and wow! My experiance thus far with home depot has been good. Windows, doors, faucet and garage door all bought and installed by home depot contractors. I have has nothing but an excellent experiance with them. I cannot imagin the problems these guys had. Maybe it is accurate and honest, but I have had the opposite experiance.

Don't get flooring installed from this location. I'm now in day 15 of working with these people and we still don't have an install date. The entire process is a complete joke. You will be told by the people working in the store they have no control over anything since a different department handles this part of the company, yet when you call in you'll be told to work with the store associate, the person sent out to measure your house will probably forget they called you so you'll take a day off of work for absolutely no reason at all. Maybe you'll even have the joy of, after spending a couple hours deciding, being told that not only is the vinyl you picked out not available, none of the vinyl flooring on the show floor is available. But they won't tell you the day you pick out the vinyl. They'll wait a few days. And after all that you'll be told by the store associate that due to the difficulties they'll make this right and take care of you - that you should call when their boss is there. And when you talk to their boss they'll tell you too bad, too sad. And offer you absolutely nothing for all your wasted time. By the end of it your predicted installation date will be a month later than you were told it would be when you started this process. And they'll basically hold that over your head the entire time. If you think this is an acceptable experience please by all means go to Home Depot.

Never have home depot install anything for you. I attempted to have them install a door for me. They charge you 30 dollars before anyone comes out then they use a company called multiserve which is awful as well. Hard to get a hold of mot friendly. So long story short after three weeks they tell me we can't install for you. So I asked for the measurement and they said we can't provide that either. Just awful service they have lost a customer for life. Hello Lowe's

Purchased a countertop from Home Depot, they outsourced to MKD out of Marshall, MI. MKD is a horrible company to deal with, WHEN you are finally able to talk to someone at this place, they are very rude! The installers smelled like marijuana and were slobs. MKD decided to make my bathroom vanity out of two pieces instead of 1 piece as I was told by Home Depot and the person from MKD after the initial measurement. The countertop is ~72" wide by ~21" deep with two under mount sinks between two upright vanities. MKD did not properly secure the countertop because it arrived damaged, but did not notice until after the install was complete because the installers rushed to get done with the job and have me sign the form saying I approved the install. I did note on the form I did not approve the 2 piece counter. Home Depot is basically hands off, I've called their corporate and have had a case open for almost a month. They have yet to follow-up with me to get anything resolved even though they said they would within 48 hours after I called back the 2nd time. I've also talked to the local management, but they again haven't called me back. I no longer do any business with Home Depot, I drive the extra 1.5 miles to Lowes for any of my needs. I have not resorted to disputing the charges through my Credit Card Company and putting my project on hold until it's resolved. Stay away from HOME DEPOT and MKD, poorly managed company from a corporate level all the way down to the stores. If you look up reviews on MKD they have no good reviews about them, and that is a Home Depot issue for continuing to use them. You get what you pay for, go to a local cabinet/counter top company with their own installers.

Awful experience with their flooring/carpet department. I call to get a measure of a guest bedroom for carpet. Never once am I told the carpet I'm asking about is a special order. Then after the measure I get an email saying call for a quote. I call and the quote seems high, but the guy going over it never mentions the carpet is a special order and repeatedly asks me to order the carpet while on the phone with him to "speed up the process". So, I do like an idiot. When I get off the phone, the quote is emailed to me and I see the word special in the carpet description. I also get an email thanking me for my order and telling me not to call with order changes for over 24hrs. So after 24hrs I call to see if I can change my carpet to something cheaper and they say not without a $125 dollar fee because it's a special order. This is the first time I'm told it's a special order and the first time I'm told there's a fee to cancel. Then the girl asks why I would order it before reading over the quote?! Well why the heck would your guy ask me to order it multiple times if I'm supposed to be reviewing it looking for suspicious stuff. Needless to say this is the first and last time I'm ordering carpet from Home Depot. Obviously the only reason you have to call for the quote to be emailed to you is so that they can pressure you into buying it without reading the quote thoroughly first. Shady practices Home Depot, shame on you.
