J V Harrison Backhoe and Septic

If you’ve ever called around for estimates on septic system work, you know that just getting a return phone call is considered luck - getting the work done might be a miracle. From my first call with James, he was professional, responsive, and fair. Throughout the entire project of having our septic tank upgraded, he was honest, trustworthy, and considerate. James came to our home the day after our first phone conversation, explained what needed to be done and the county inspection process. He gave us a price and timeline estimate, and stayed true to both. If all contractors were as honest, fair, and trustworthy as James, homeownership would be a much more pleasant experience.

James was wonderful. He made having a failed septic drain field a pleasant experience. He got right to work and didn't quit until the job was done. He had a great relationship with the county inspector and left the yard in good shape. Shortly after we had issues with a toilet not draining. He came right over and checked to make sure the septic was okay. Then he stayed for 2 hours and helped tear apart the toilet and remove a tennis ball my dog must've dropped in it. Never charged for that extra time

If I could give zero stars I would! Mr. Harrison was referred by another company (I didn’t call them), and I couldn’t be there to greet them when they arrived, so unfortunately my girlfriend was left to deal w/them. Regretting that decision now as Mr. Harrison acted in a totally unprofessional manner by making inappropriate remarks towards my girlfriend. I’ve personally been in a retail/customer oriented business for 10+ yrs and meet lots of people, but I’ve never made any sexual advances, or said anything as inappropriate as what was implied by Mr. Harrison to my girlfriend. My girlfriend was offended, but didn’t say anything at the time because she wasn’t sure how to react. After a follow up conversation w/Mr. Harrison, he actually thought that his comments were funny...not to a boyfriend who’s girlfriend was alone w/two strangers. If anyone is considering using this company please think twice and then just say no!
