Lynne McLawhorn review about company Payne Plumbing Services

I'm still in shock at the extremely poor level of service I got today (9/2/2014). Plumber arrived at 8:45 a.m. to repair a leaking dishwasher line. He took a couple of seconds to look at the problem with his flashlight and said he would have to go look for parts. Over 2 hours went by with no contact from the company. I called them and the woman who answered the phone said "He can't find the part. He might not be able to fix it." I waited 3 more hours and called back at 2:00 p.m. She said he had gone on another service call and probably wouldn't be able to fix it. I told her I was going to call someone else who knew what they were doing and told her that she should have called me to let me the know the situation. Called another plumber and he had the problem fixed from start to finish in less than 20 minutes. I know this plumber from Payne had to be licensed. It is inconceivable to me he didn't know how to fix something so simple. The second plumber from the other company almost fell on the floor laughing when I told him what the Payne plumber said and did. If I hadn't had a witness, I doubt he would have believed me. He said it was one of the simplest plumbing problems to repair and would be something he could tell his grandchildren. (His exact words.) And, the woman who answers the phone doesn't appear to know that the bare minimum for acceptable customer service is to keep your customers informed. I would drown before I ever called this company again.
