Chris Irwin review about company Home Services at The Home Depot

Called 28 days after buying a $450 AC unit as it was acting up the night prior (day 27). I live an hr away from the Portsmouth store and am traveling this week for work. Was told the unit/receipt needed to be in the store within 30 days. I explained I can't make it becuase of the distance/traveling but could scan them the receipt. I was told I had to do it within 30 days. I again explained I couldn't physically do this but had called them and could get them the receipt within the 30 days. I explained I could bring it in the store this Sunday. They said they wouldn't do that. This is the first negative review of business I have ever posted. I'm furious at the lack the customer service and flat out lack of caring I was shown. In the future I will go out of my way to go to Lowe's.
